Who writes this guide

This guide is written by the team at Coolecto, a Canadian platform that helps schools, sports clubs and nonprofits run their fundraising campaigns online.

Every month we publish an article on a fundraising activity or season. The rules we cite (raffles, donation receipts, food in schools) are checked with the official bodies, and the sources are listed at the end of each article. Many rules are set by each province: when an article describes a provincial rule, it says which province it applies to.

The advice in this guide holds whatever tool you use. When Coolecto can save you time, we say so plainly.
